  • HANFORD HOSTS USAC WEST COAST SPRINT CAR RUMBLE
    MARCH 21, 2017... Fresh off two nights at Tulare, the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars are ready to clash at the Keller Auto Speedway at Kings Fairgrounds. Making their first of three appearances at the Hanford, California oval, the fifth point race will also feature the Western Racesaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Stock Cars, and Mini Stocks. The pit gates will open at 2:00pm, the front gates open at 5:00pm, and racing is scheduled for 7:00pm.   • RYAN BERNAL EARNS 30TH CAREER USAC WEST COAST VICTORY AT TULARE
    MARCH 21, 2017... After finishing third the previous night, Ryan Bernal (Hollister, California) claimed last Saturday’s main event win at Tulare’s Merle Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway. Racing past Jace Vander Weerd on the third lap, the USAC West Coast Sprint Car point leader led the rest of the way to earn the $1,500 triumph. Vander Weerd, hard charger Jake Swanson, “The Human Highlight Reel” Geoff Ensign, and Richard Vander Weerd rounded out the top-five drivers.....(more)
     
  • JAKE SWANSON SHINES AT TULARE’S THUNDERBOWL
    MARCH 21, 2017... Slipping past Ryan Bernal on the fourteenth circuit, Jake Swanson (Anaheim, California) took last Friday’s checkered flags at Tulare’s Merle Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway. Before earning the $1,200 USAC West Coast Sprint Car triumph, Swanson also broke Richard Vander Weerd’s qualifying track record. The former USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year was followed by “The Human Highlight Reel” Geoff Ensign, Bernal, Austin Liggett, and Vander Weerd......(more)

  • USAC WEST COAST SPRINTS INVADE TULARE FOR FRIDAY-SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADER
    MARCH 14, 2017... After two successful nights at Las Vegas, the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars are back in action this Friday (March 17) and Saturday (March 18) at Tulare, California’s Merle Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway. The non-wing sprints will tackle the lightning fast 1/3-mile clay oval with the famed World of Outlaw Sprint Cars. The Legends of Kearney Bowl Vintage Cars will join the Friday card and the IMCA Sport Mods will join Saturday’s showcase. The front gates will open at 4:00pm on both nights, time trials at 6:00pm, with racing scheduled for 7:00pm.   • RYAN BERNAL CHARGES FROM TWENTY-SECOND TO CLAIM ANOTHER $3,000 LAS VEGAS JACKPOT!
    MARCH 10, 2017...  After engine problems forced a switch to a backup car, Ryan Bernal (Hollister, California) started twenty-second and won Friday’s 25-lap “FVP Outlaw Showdown” at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Piloting Mike Phulps’ #56 Metal Works / Keizer Wheels ART, Bernal took the lead from “The Macho Man” Brady Bacon on lap 21 and sailed to his second $3,000 Sands Chevrolet USAC SouthWest / West Coast Sprint Car win of 2017.     MARCH 7, 2017... The ninth season for the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars will kickoff this Thursday and Friday (March 9th and 10th) at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Co-sanctioned with the Sands Chevrolet USAC SouthWest Sprint Cars, the prestigious "6th Annual FVP Sin City Showdown" will pay an impressive $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start the feature on BOTH NIGHTS. A talented roster of drivers from California, Arizona, and the Midwest are expected to clash on the large half-mile clay oval. In addition, the famed World of Outlaw Craftsman Sprint Cars and IMCA Modifieds will join the action packed card. The pit gates will open at 2:00pm, the spectator gates open at 5:00pm, with racing set for 7:30pm on Thursday and 8:00pm on Friday.
