2012 USAC WEST COAST 360 SPRINT CAR BULLETIN #1

ATTENTION: USAC West Coast 360 Race Teams, Car Owners, and Drivers. 
DATE: January 4, 2012

The following notes and information for the upcoming 2012 season are as follows:

1. PURSE: 
The purse for a regular USAC West Coast 360 point show at all tracks will be $1500-to-win and $200-to-start. In 2012, there is a three (3) race "Grudge Series" with the ASCS Canyon Region that will pay $2500-to-win and $300-to-start each main event. There will also be a substantial point fund for the 3-race mini-series.

2. TIRES:
In 2012, the USAC West Coast 360s have adopted the Hoosier Medium (105x16x15) as the "official" Right Rear Tire and is currently in use by various groups including the ASCS Canyon Region. The Hoosier DT3, RC3, and VRA Right Rear Tire are also legal with the USAC West Coast 360s. The Left Rear and Front Tires must be Hoosier only.

3. AWARDS BANQUET / CELEBRATION:
An awards banquet is being put together for February 11th in Redondo Beach that will be shared with the Amsoil USAC/CRA Series. For more information, email Julie at [email protected]

4. SERIES SPONSORS / CONTINGENCIES:
USAC West Coast 360 officials are looking for marketing partners, associate sponsors, and contingency sponsors for the 2012 season. Interested parties can email Lance at [email protected].

5. MUFFLER RULE:
The general muffler rule for the USAC West Coast 360s will remain 95db at 100ft. All competitors must meet local track sound standards.

6. ENTRY FEES:
There is a $35 entry fee to be paid at pill pick for events with the USAC West Coast 360s. This has been in place since 2010.

7. CANYON WINTER CHALLENGE SERIES:
There is a six race mini-series, starting January 27th with the ASCS Canyon Region at Peoria, Arizona's Canyon Speedway Park. USAC West Coast 360 Teams are encouraged to participate and the majority of the features will pay $2000-to-win and $200-to-start. The January 29th feature will pay $3000-to-win and $300-to-start, while the February 4th race will pay $5000-to-win and $400-to-start. For more information, visit canyonspeedwaypark.com.

8. SEPTEMBER 29TH "BILLET CUP" AT SANTA MARIA:
On September 29th, Santa Maria Speedway will host the first "Billet Cup" in conjunction with the "John Jewett Memorial." The event will feature a Trophy Cup style format with a point fund for the one day show. The feature will pay $2500-to-win and $300-to-start.
